KaylandKayland are a successful Italian manufacturer of high performance mountaineering boots. Now available in the UK, the Kayland range has proved very popular on a worldwide scale. Testing and development takes place in the mountains around Chamonix, in the heart of the French Alps, where mountain guides and rescue team members provide valuable feedback for the development of this exciting new footwear brand.
The emphasis throughout the Kayland range is geared strongly towards "minimum weight, maximum function", this is achieved by utilising the latest technology and the highest quality components during the manufacturing process. Kevlar is just one of the many materials incorporated into the design of several models where minimum weight is required, without sacrificing durability - a feature that is unique to Kevlar. Waterproofing is guaranteed on many models with a fully taped "bootie" made with the eVent waterproof and breathable membrane.
Kayland also manufacture footwear for less demanding use including a variety of lightweight models suitable for hill walking and trekking as well as approach shoes and multi-activity footwear.
